Chang Hwa Dang LA (CHD)

We recently tried a popular Korean mandu franchise in LA.

Chang Hwa Dang LA (CHD)
3377 Wilshire Blvd, Ste 104
Los Angeles, CA 90010
Wilshire Center, Koreatown

This was our first time eating at Chang Hwa Dang LA (CHD) in K Town LA. We just happened upon it since we were across the street at the Philippine Consulate wrapping up a dual Philippine citizenship application for our youngest son. Korean cuisine is not new to us, however, mandu was one of the few things we haven’t tried.

Korean dumplings are called mandu (만두). The style of Mandu varies can be boiled, steam, or deep-fried.

There is a nice outdoor space in front of the restaurant. So we felt pretty safe and were able to maintain appropriate social distance from other diners during our time there. The server was courteous, polite, and masked at all times. We were also asked to complete a temperature check before being seated.

We ordered the Bulgogi & Rice, Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup, and Mandu Soup with Pork. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. If you happened to be in Koreatown (Los Angeles), consider giving them a try. We would definitely go again.
